Canvas Films, working with the agency iCreatives Staffing, helped produce an interactive Media “e-card” that was used to be sent overseas to the troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Shot in our Ft. Lauderdale studio using our RED ONE MX package, Canvas Films and iCreative created the ADDY award winning video.

Taking off from a private air field in Palm Beach, Canvas captured numerous locations in Broward county ranging from along the coast all the way out west over the Everglades. The 24p high definition footage added another perspective to all the unique and various locations Broward County has to offer for film and tv productions.

Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe

Siting the numerous scripted cable TV programs ranging from The Glades to Burn Notice to Magic City and major feature film movies like The Rock of Ages and Michael Bay’s latest movie, Pain and Gain, The Hollywood Reporter goes into detail why Florida, and many South Florida, is once again becoming the hot bed for feature film and tv production.  Mentioning the great locations, experienced crews and Florida’s 20% tax credit and other incentives, big productions are once again rushing to shoot in Florida.

Crocodile eating our GoPro Camera

Shot with a GoPro camera during one of the numerous digital cinema shoot for the Broward County Film Commission sizzle reel production, while in the Florida everglades.  After you watch it, I proud to say no camera where broken, no fingers are missing and no crocodile teeth are broken.

Broward Film Commission Sizzle Reel

After numerous months of shooting 4k Digital Cinema footage all around Broward for the film commission, Canvas Films has completed the county’s film location sizzle reel.   Broward Office of Film and Entertainment film commissioner, Noelle Stevenson, came to Canvas Films due to our experience and high regard in the South Florida film community.

Whether shooting from a helicopter, dolly or even a handle-less segway, Canvas Films got everything needed to create a “phenomenal reel” according to film commissioner Noelle Stevenson.

Showcasing this video at numerous event held through the U.S. and worldwide, this reel was constructed to show the film industry  that Broward is more than just palm trees and beaches and to showcase all the unique and transformative locations Broward has to offer.

Testimonial during HairClub DRTV Commercial

Using classic and new testimonials, as well as clean 2D and 3D animation; Canvas Films filmed this DRTV spot  in our South Florida studio and  on-location at various spot throughout Ft. Lauderdale.

Once the DRTV commercial started airing in select markets the phones at HairClub’s call centers starting ringing none stop. The expert team at Canvas Films completed this DR television commercial and had it to air in under two weeks

Broward is not all Palm Trees and Beaches

Shot entirely in 4K using the RED ONE MX camera over the course of many months, Canvas Films’ location scouts scoured Broward county for the perfect locations and the perfect time of day to shoot them. After all the production around South Florida, Canvas Films then used our in-house DaVinci 4K Resolve to give each shot the perfect look to make it seem like the locations could pass for anywhere in the world.

SonoBello Direct Response Testimonial

Canvas Films produced a long form direct response television spot as well as numerous short form commercials to help SonoBello grow in their established markets and introduce the company to the new markets they where expanding into. Starting from nothing, Canvas Films developed a script, casted the host and testimonials, scouted and secured shooting locations, organized and shot multiple shoots in both Ft. Lauderdale and LA. and then did the impossible and delivered a finish infomercial all in under 2 months.

Thanks to Canvas Films, SonoBello’s phone have not stopped ringing.

2 Day Garmin Commercial Shoot at PGA National Golf Course

After working with Garmin the year before on their previous golf watch commercial, Garmin this year asked us to not only act as the production company providing all the crew and equipment, but to direct their latest commercial spot as well.

Shooting the entire spot in 4K using the RED-MX camera and an assortment of Arri Prime lenses, Canvas Films made sure the producers at Garmin got all the footage they needed before the first round of golfers came through at PGA National.

After the shoot, Canvas Film’s colorist Matt P., worked with Director/DP Phil Ruesch and the Garmin producers in our DaVinci 4K Resolve suite to get just the right look they had envisioned and deliver everything at 4K Resolution.
